ooh, there's a mod I'd love to play, if it has single player that is. I imagine it would be hard to put necromorphs into Unreal though, but I suppose any enemies would do. Anywayz, being such a big fan of Dead Space, I give as many thumbs up as physically possible, and mooore!

If I had more Max 3D skills, Unreal script skills, animation knowlage and lots of time. I could probably make some monsters that look simular to the Necromorphs. But since this is no mod and I am just a single person working on this, it won't happen. Basically it's just a single level build for a multiplayer game. But I will modify it and turn it into a singleplayer map. I thought of making this with UT99 but the mod Tactical Ops ( Patch 3.4) will suit my likings better. TO has a build in money system, meaning every time you kill a monster you will be awarded with "Yumm! Credits!" ;D So I can build a store where you can restock ammo, buy armor and weapons. The modern era weapons might not fit as well the futuristic ones but to hell with it >.< The monsters will be the good old Unreal monsters. You know? Skaarj Warrior, Brute, Krall, Pupae, Tentacle, etc. Atm I am having troube with the HUD. In my WIP video you can't see it cause I turned it off. Well, I want the HUD to only switch off while the small intro at the beginning. This will probably only work with some custom scripting. But I am not so familiar with that kind of stuff so I will rely on someone else to help me with this.

No offence, but the meteors falling on you lold me up XDD But I guess thats the best you can do on the engine.. The self-opening freezer thingie creeped me out.
And the cannon was AWESOME. The marker looked weird but cool.

Yea, the asteroids do look very pathetic but I just made them with the standard BoulderSpawner and I used way to little effects. That hole area is still work in progress and will look different in the final version. This maps hasn't even reached it's alpha phase yet Don't underestimate what can be done with the unreal engine. Wait till I add sound effects, visual effects and all that other crap. Maybe I could make something like this. But I doubt you would live through that xD 50000 UT GrenadesHmm, I modeled the marker just with the editor tools. I could probably make a way better one if I'd use a 3D prog -.- Edit\\ The outside area is getting better but no screens for now. But here somthing else I just finished. I added a hull integrity display at the ADS canon. It loses health with every impact. When you reach 0 the hole place explodes xD Edit2\\\ omg xD I am starting to suprise myself with this ADS cannon I build. It's perfect

UpdatesDamn it! All these trigger's are making me crazy. I still need to build something that will determine the ending and I'm already working on polishing some areas. I'll also have to consider in rebuilding some stuff cause the BSP-Tree is starting to get instable. ^^ Map Stats atm Brushes : 1111 Zones : 19 Polys : 6753 Nodes : 19087 Ratio : 2.83:1 Lights : 858 unr size : 29.0 MB I would like to make 2000 brushes for this map and since I still need to build a hole new area. I might make it. The intro is really cool now. It's almost like a movie ;D Here some lighting updates Edit: Changed a little bit in that last pic. Lighting is sofware rendered so don't wonder why it looks so bad suddenly ^^

The E1M1 remake looks pretty darn nice, man! Would also be great if you put the E1M1 music in it! (don't mean the original MIDI)
You should also release the map! ^^

Very nice, I always love to see familiar Doom levels recreated, especially in other games. Mainly to see how it looks with different graphics stuff.

Yeah, the E1M1 song is beeing used for this map. Unfortunately I am not working on this anymore. Well, I'd say it's up to 98% complete already but I don't have to urge to release this. It might just be somthing I too was curious about how it would look with a other engine. My Dead Space map on the other hand has way to much work put in it to just get droped. So I might continue that some day and release it.

I felt like adding a little more details to my E1M1 map and also uploaded a video to give a better impression of the map design.
The layout isn't 100% accurate and proportions weren't easy to get right. On the other hand, I build most areas without doing any research and just build it by how I memorized it.

Tactical Ops - Fairytale - version 2.0 The sunlight script is somthing you'd see in the unreal engine 2. But a friend of mine coded one for the unreal engine 1 and it looks beautiful. I made the textures myself and I think they work pretty well.
