well, your problem would be: you're using the ...I dunno if it's even beta.. could be the alpha version of epsxe 1.7.0 ...alot of errors...bugs..and crap.. I got the 1.6.0 version here.. and this one works.. I could upload it to you if you want me to..and if paul is ok with it €: He's ok with it here you go: rapidshare.com/files/305141948/Playstation.rar

Apparently ePSXe is meant to be better than PSXfin (which is the one I use), only thing is you have to download much more things.

I much prefer ePSXe. I've never had any real problems with it (running 1.6.0) and it is to me more functional and quick to handle than PSXfin. That might just be because I'm accustomed to it, but eh. The biggest problems I experience are one or two little interface flaws. I.E.: One cannot cease emulation of a disc or file without closing the program itself. Which reminds me, there's an annoying bug that occurs when one closes the program directly from fullscreen mode, in which the process continues to run (usually indicated by the game's music continuing), but thinks it's dead, having simultaneously closed its own launcher. The computer illiterate person would think that their OS is bugging and would restart the computer, whereas the only real fix is to manually end the process via task manager. The PROCESS, even, as the application no longer appears, even IN task manager. This problem is averted by simply closing the program from the launcher itself, but is still an obvious programming error. I've thought about trying to fix this and other issues (hex editing, perhaps?), but without the source code, I doubt there's much that could be done. It's probably out there, (ePSXe having been independently developed) but I'm too lazy to look for it.

You mean after you close the program the audio is still running? Try ctrl+alt+delete and bring up the task manager and click on the Processes tab. The select the name of the program and click the End Process button.
Emulating disc based systems is annoying. PSXeven is the only one I got to work at all (not well) and ePSXe gave me BSoD.
