Ooh, that sounds interesting. I do love me some Metroidvania, so this would be like... Doomtroidvania! Anyway, good luck with it, certainly interested in seeing what comes of this.

I'll be posting updates into the thread here (as I usually do), and hopefully I'll have a public alpha build out by July-ish.

The ModDB page for Deliverance 2600 is up! www.moddb.com/mods/deliverance-2600I'll post an update over to the ModDB page whenever a new build is made, probably even some semi-frequent general progress updates. Head on over there and click the "Track This Mod" button to make sure not to miss any of them! Or if you're not a member of ModDB, you can just bookmark the page and check in frequently.

It is with great joy that I announce the Deliverance 2600 team has a new member! Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome aboard Finnfox66!
Finnfox will mainly be doing sprite art for the project. I'll send him the base sprites I make and he'll basically animate them as he wishes. Him having made some music in the past, we also briefly discussed the possibility of a musical collaboration between him and me.
And with that, stay tuned for more!

Stuff's almost ready for a pre-alpha release, just a couple minor additions and it'll be good.

Welp. Deliverance 2600 will be indefinitely on hold. Laptop decided to screw me over, and even System Restore won't work, so I'm stuck with another laptop unable to do anything but browse the Internet.

Alright, laptop's in maintenance. Routine inspection, it should be out of there within the week.

First track for the OST: done! Probably gonna include it into the first Alpha build, so as to give you a taster of sorts.

Forgot to post this update yesterday, but I've started implementing sounds now. Speaking of which, if anyone knows a good website where you can get free sound effects (preferably without the need to register in order to downlaod them), let me know. I looked through a dozen different sites and only found SoundFXNow.com, but their library is too frickin' limited.

We're carefully inching closer to the first Alpha build... Still some stuff to implement before that, though, but I'm hoping to get it ready by the end of the month.
